The long term affects of the FAKE WWII B.U. Ships watches and now the FAKE WWI Depollier Waterproof Watches will be devastating to the watch collecting community. When somebody finds out that they have purchased a FAKE down the road they will probably be turned away from the hobby and all of us will suffer in the long run. Depollier's Generation #1 waterproof watch watch case design came out in August of 1918, the Gen #2 waterproof case design called "The Thermo Watch" came out in very late 1918. But, neither of the first two waterproof case designs has ever been found and documented even though MANY advertisements exist for Gen #1 and Gen #2.
The Waltham Depollier "Field & Marine" Waterproof Watch (black case) and the incredibly rare Waltham Depollier "THERMO" Waterproof Watch (yellow crystal watch). This is currently the only THERMO known to exist. I can 100% assure you that the 1926 Rolex Oyster was not the world's first waterproof watch as they claim.
